Welcome to Ignition

Ignition is an AI product success platform designed to help PMMs, PMs, and other launch leaders to plan, execute, and measure the process of bringing new things to market, end-to-end.

Instantly understand what's launching, when. And how to talk about it.

Ignition helps you and your team become more aligned around launch plans -- whether it's a product, feature, campaign, event, or even a new company.

Your launch leaders will be populating all sorts of useful info, so you can see launch calendars, understand strategy, manage assets/tasks, and get key info like how to talk about new products.

What should I do first?

There are two main things you should do as a new user:

  1. Go to your Personal Settings and add a profile picture

  2. Go to your Personal Settings and select your notification settings (do you prefer getting updates via email, Slack, or both?)

The top-3 tips for using Ignition

  • πŸ‘¨β€πŸš€ Play with Displays and Filters! Any time you see filter button, try searching for yourself, or things you'd like to see.

  • πŸ‘¨β€πŸš€ Most of your interaction with Ignition will happen right in your inbox or Slack, so you only need to login when you need more detail!

  • πŸ‘¨β€πŸš€ Try the "AI Chat" feature! Ignition has a built-in, hyper-contextualized ChatGPT-style experience. You can ask your workspace questions like "How do I talk about the Payroll product to a CFO?" and "What's going on with the Ignition 1.0 launch?" and it will give you answers based on the screen you're in.

Navigating Ignition

Ignition has a few primary areas to be aware of. As a viewer, most of the info you need should be accessible from Mission Control:

  • Mission Control – Your primary dashboard and calendar view of upcoming and recent launches. The two primary things you'll want to see are:

    • Dashboard – See a snapshot of upcoming launches, and OKR performance of recent launches. Try playing with filters to see different types and tiers of launch.

    • Launch Calendar – See a central calendar of launches, milestones, channel activity, releases, and tasks. Try playing with filters to see different altitudes of info.

  • Research – Where you can see competitive battlecards, personas, and customer insights.

  • Build – Where you can submit product ideas and check the product roadmap for what's being built.

  • Launch – Where you'll can access customer-facing GTM plans and release notes announcing new features.

  • Library – Where you can see personas, marketing assets, and tasks assigned to you.

  • Settings – Access your workspace, and personal settings by clicking your company's name (workspace settings) or your user icon (personal settings) in the top left.

Collaborating (Approving, Commenting, and Task-Updating)

Approving Assets

Get assigned an Asset? There are two ways for you to approve:

  1. To approve via email... Find the email the asset was sent to you in > Click "Approve"

  2. To approve inside Ignition... Go to the GTM Plan the asset is part of > Go to Copy & Assets > Filter by yourself under "Approvers" > Click the "Approve" button

Commenting on Plans & Assets

Want to comment on plan strategy, or an asset? Find the πŸ’¬ icon in the upper-right-hand corner of the module or asset, click it, and enter your comment.

Updating Tasks

Get assigned a Task and want to update status? Go to the GTM Plan the Task is a part of > Go to Tasks > Filter by yourself under "Assignee" > Click the β—― icon on the left-side and update status. You can also click the Task to expand it and add comments.
